#1 Reason Lime Water Should Be The First Drink of Your Day

Start your day right with 32 ounces of freshly squeezed lime water for more vitality.

Start your day right with 32 ounces of freshly squeezed lime water for more vitality.

Want to make yourself feel better? Trust me with this. Make this the first stand of your day––H2–friggin–O.

Water is life. The less we have of it, the deader we are. Your blood, your brain, your tissues, your organs; all depends on proper hydration for proper functioning. You already know your body is three-quarters water. Without the constant replenishing of this vital substance in our bodies, our insides become like cesspools of sludge and toxicity awaiting disease.

Overnight, as we (hopefully) sleep, the body is going through a myriad of repair and recalibration processes. One of those processes is ‘detox.’ All of the foreign waste products you’ve accumulated (during another day of crazy living, demanding schedules and often just plain self-abuse) are being gathered and compiled for a morning flush out of your system. It’s all designed to give you a new start for a new day without carrying the burdens of the previous.

Sadly, the first casualty in an under-hydrated, toxic system is proper “decision-making.”  That means if you’re already in this state, you’re probably not going to take this very good advice.

Water is one of the main tools of that process, acting as a sewage conduit for your body. At the top of each morning it is highly recommended that you conduct a “mini-cleanse” by downing a tall glass of fresh lemon or lime water (because lemons/limes are nature’s natural cleaning agents). The Vitamin C boost, live enzymes and antioxidants activate this natural flushing process. This will not only help you to maintain a better hydration status, but help to rush all of the gathered toxins out of your bladder, colon and bloodstream.

Sadly, the first casualty in an under-hydrated, toxic system is proper “decision-making.”  That means if you’re already in this state, you’re probably not going to take this very good advice.

Proper decision-making gets impacted by cloudy, lethargic thinking and oppressed mood because of diminished brain capacity and polluted blood. Bad decision-making, of course, will affect your career performance, home life, personal relations and general quality of living all day. But the smartest thing ––the smartest decision––that you can do all day is to make drinking that tall glass of morning lemon or lime water the very FIRST ACT OF YOUR DAY. It can make the difference between a foul day or new fresh one.

I try to start my day with no less than 32 oz. You should too. Again, trust me.
