A Healing Homemade Ginger Root Tea That Detoxifies

A Healing Homemade Ginger Root Tea That Detoxifies

When I feel my immune system getting out of whack, I don’t play around. Upon the first little itch, scratch, tick or grittiness, I get busy. I get ready for internal battle. My weapons aren’t pills or sweetened codeine syrup. I’m not a pill-popping person, nor a synthetic meds person.

In fact, I haven’t had so much as a Tylenol, since the age of 19. I get it all done ‘naturally,’ and so far, so good. I’ve been the picture of health (knock on wood) since that fateful teenaged day I decided to walk away from that world.

However, no matter what are health-regimen is, during flu-season, we all get a little vulnerable to the elements. The weather elements and the weathered people elements.

All it takes is for us to touch a contaminated door-knob and accidentally rub an eye, or get caught in the elevator with the wrong person––who can’t stop sneezing and hacking their germs upon the rest of humanity. You can’t hold your breath for 19-floors. Believe me, I’ve tried.

One unfortunate incident like that can start an all-out assault on your immune system. And when it does, and if you don’t want to start another kind of attack on your body systems using synthetic meds, you might want to do like me––try something simple, powerful and straight from the earth.

Natural ginger-root is a potent little juice-filled bang. When you research its many, many health benefits you’ll be thoroughly impressed. It not only makes delicious ginger-root beer and ginger-root tea, it is known as a powerful anti-inflammatory, deep detoxifier, anti-free-radical antioxidant and overall immunity booster. And that’s just to name a few.

To maximize its potency of my ginger-root defense, that is, after I’ve had the elevator ride from hell, I make a natural ginger-root tea so strong, so spicy, it’s prone to grow hair on your chest. If you’re a lady, you probably don’t consider that a good thing. You might want to wear turtle-necks that week. And, don’t worry, the tea is so good and healing it will make the temporary drag on your fashion swag well worth it.

If you are ready to heal-up, or ready to boost-up your immunity against the germ drones out there, grab pen and pad.

Akil's Homemade Detox Ginger Root Tea

Ingredients List:

• Craploads of Fresh Ginger Root

• Water

• Agave / Stevia / or Raw Honey

• Lemon or Lime

Instructions:

1 - Wash your ginger throughly.

2 - Peel some of the surface skin off without being crazy anal about it. (If you’re sick, you don’t have no time for all that.)

3 - Grate the ginger using a large grater. (If you don’t have one, toss it in the food processor and zap it til granulated.)

4 - Place your mound of grated ginger into a pot of water and boil on low-medium for 15 mins.

5 - Turn off fire and let steep for 10 more minutes with top on.

6 - Pour through a strainer into your favorite mug. Or pour it into a bottle and chill if for later.

7 - Season with a squeeze of lime and a bit of agave/stevia/raw honey, or, consume it straight.

The ginger should be so spicy, you feel it burning away all of the impurities in your throat and lungs. Brew it as strong as you can handle it. Delicious hot or cold. It’s a very adult strength beverage that is more than refreshing. It’s like a doctor’s visit.

Enjoy!
